FCSC - 2024 - Top 90

Once again, I participated in the FCSC CTF and I managed to finish 82nd! Here are the write-ups for the challenges I solved. Layer Cake 1/3 - Environment Variables The description of the challenge tell us that the develop store the flag in an environment variable at build time. We have to find the flag. Here are the data we have: https://hub.docker.com/r/anssi/fcsc2024-forensics-layer-cake-1 So here is the trick: we can see the tag section on the website.

What I wish I knew when I learnt C

Why am I writing this? One day, I decided that I wanted to know how to hack things. I was 15 years old and I did what everyone did: I googled “how to hack a webcam”. I found a video from Nawop (you wont find much about him but he was doing tutorials about cybersecurity). It was a metasploit tutorial, showing how to build a reverse shell tcp for a windows target.

FCSC - 2023 - Top 200

I participated in the FCSC for the second time this year. The first time was in 2019 and this I wanted to do better than the previous year. Before starting the CTF I hadn’t done any CTF for a while or any cybersecurity related activities so it was a good way to get back into it. This post will mostly be useful for myself and also be a write-up for the challenges I have solved and found interesting.
